Third Man Records
7" flexi-disc
Released: Dec 10 2019
For my 4th #thirdmanthursday post, here's The Raconteurs - Bored and Razed 7" flexi-disc which you could get if you bought a copy of The Raconteurs new album "Help us stranger" on Dec 10 2019. As far as I know this flexi-disc was only available if you bought it on this particular day. It is unknown how many of these exist.
It's a live version of Bored and Razed recorded at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, OK. And it's more or less an advertisement for the upcoming Vault Package 43 (spoiler alert: I'm a vault member since package 2) which is the entire Raconteurs set from Tulsa. It says so on the front:
For more exclusive live recordings from The Raconteurs performances in Tulsa visit thirdmanrecords.com/vault to purchase Third Man Records limited edition 3xLP vault package #43 by January 31st, 2020.
All Raconteurs live shows are great and I can't recommend enough to listen to them which you can do over at nugs.net. This version of Bored and Razed is also great and highly energetic.
I recently have come to like the flexi-disc format due to it's flexible nature. The reason is that my 1-year old son discovered that he can use my other 7" as a bracelet. The flexi-discs are more flexible and therefore – I hope – more sturdy 🙀.
